About us 

We at the Office of Parliamentary Counsel draft Bills for the Commonwealth government. We provide clear, effective and accessible Commonwealth law for all Australians.

Our other responsibilities include:

•    Providing access to Commonwealth legislation 
•    Preparing Commonwealth legislation
•    Registering Commonwealth Acts and instruments for more than 70 agencies
•    Providing training in relation to drafting and Commonwealth legislative processes.

As an Office of Parliamentary Counsel graduate, you will work closely with our senior drafters. You will be supported with formal and on-the-job training, undertaking activities as a member of a drafting team. We offer a flexible, inclusive and supportive work environment. Locations 

We participate in programs that offer positions primarily in Canberra, with potential remote working opportunities. Relocation assistance may be provided for successful candidates who need to move for their role.
