Productivity Commission

We advise the Australian Government on microeconomic and social policy to improve the welfare of Australians.

About us

We at the Productivity Commission conduct independent research and public inquiries into key economic and social issues, including infrastructure, regulation, labour markets, and trade.

Our goal is to help governments create better policies that benefit all Australians.

Our program offers a simple path from education to a career, helping you succeed in leadership careers by working across a range of economic and social policy areas.

By joining us, you will gain hands-on experience, develop your policy analysis and research skills, and receive mentorship to support your career.

Completing our program will set you up for success within the Productivity Commission or the broader Australian Public Service (APS). We offer a supportive and inclusive environment with opportunities for professional development.
