Eligibility criteria 

To apply for the APS Veteran Employment Pathway, you must meet the following requirements: 

• Be a veteran with recent military service. Veterans who transitioned within the last 18 months are eligible; others may be considered on a case-by-case basis. 
• Possess or have the ability to attain one of the following qualifications: 
• Certificate III in Business or Government (APS4 level) 
• Certificate IV in Business, Leadership & Management, or Government (APS5 level) 
• Diploma or higher in Business, Leadership & Management, or Government (APS6/EL1 level) 

What skills do you need? 

To succeed in the APS Veteran Employment Pathway, you should have: 

• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading teams and solving problems. 
• Adaptability: A willingness to transition into a new environment and learn new skills. 
• Teamwork: The ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting. 
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively in the APS environment.
