Civil Aviation Safety Authority

We ensure safe skies for all Australians through effective aviation safety regulation.

About us

We at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority license pilots, register aircraft, and ensure the safety of the aviation community and the public.

As an independent statutory authority, we work closely with government departments and agencies such as the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, and the Arts, as well as Airservices Australia, to ensure that Australian airspace remains safe.
