What we offer

Our program provides a smooth transition from education to a career, giving you the skills and support you need for leadership roles.

By joining us, you will gain invaluable experience in either the Corporate or Policy stream. In the Corporate Stream, you’ll work in specialised areas like accounting, communications, human resources, and diplomatic security. In the Policy Stream, you will have opportunities in international trade, humanitarian assistance, development program management, and public diplomacy.

You will strengthen your skills through a blend of on-the-job learning, dedicated career guidance, and structured development programs. Completing our graduate program means you will be equipped with the expertise needed for a successful career in government and beyond. We offer an inclusive, supportive work culture with access to training through the award-winning Diplomatic Academy, career development, and opportunities for future international postings.

Locations

We participate in a range of programs that are primarily located in Canberra. Successful candidates moving from outside Canberra may be eligible for relocation assistance. Graduates who complete the program may also have the opportunity to take on international postings, further expanding your career opportunities.
