About us

We at the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), work towards a connected, informed and entertained Australia.


We:
•    set and manage rules about communications, media services and markets
•    licence people, organisations and products to operate in Australia
•    look into complaints and problems and take action when rules aren’t being followed
•    plan and manage the airwaves 
•    make space for new services, like 5G.


Our work covers many areas, including the internet, phones, TV content, radio content and managing Australia’s radiofrequency spectrum.

Locations

We have offices in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne. We can provide relocation assistance to successful candidates who are required to relocate interstate to one of our offices.
