We at the Department of the Treasury, are responsible for policy issues with a whole of economy perspective and offer advice to the Australian Government to achieve strong and sustainable economic and fiscal outcomes. We respond rapidly to changing events and directions and work to improve Australia’s economic analysis and policy development, providing informed and impactful advice on issues such as:

Locations 

Most graduates will be based in our Canberra office, however those already residing in Sydney and Melbourne may have the opportunity to secure one of the limited placements in one of the state offices, with occasional travel to Canberra.

Relocation assistance is provided to candidates who relocate to Canberra.
